Air Walker Exercise Machine Calories

Exercise bike fitness results from time on the machine and the effort you put into a workout. To lose weight and get fit with an exercise bike means more than just burning calories though. It is quite a bit more complex than that and in a way that makes for a better chance for long-term success. Here's the story...
Many forms of exercise use about the same number of calories oddly enough. Whether you pedal a bike, jog, or perform aerobics, all burn about the same amount of calories. Of course the calories burned depends on the effort level, but many popular forms of exercise burn calories at roughly the same level.
And the level is roughly 8 to 10 calories per minute. Your body weight also affects the energy used, but it is always in that range of about 8 to 10 calories for each minute of exercise. Now, when you consider that a pound of fat contains about 3500 calories, you can see the challenge you face if you want to burn away fat with an exercise bike or any other exercise machine for that matter.
Oh, if it were only as easy as just buying exercise equipment, slim people would be everywhere. But when you consider that vigorous pedaling of your bike burns about 10 calories in a minute, then it would take around 350 minutes of exercise bike riding to lose one pound. That's nearly 6 hours of pedaling to lose one pound. Discouraging, wouldn't you say?
But there's actually good news on the fat burn front. See, losing weight and burning fat is much more complicated than just exercising to burn fat. The key to long term fat loss involves changing the way your body burns fat. Really it is possible to change you individual fat burning rate so you burn more fat than the typical person or at least more than YOU have typically burned.
Your body burns calories all the time, even when you rest. That calorie burning rate is referred to as the basal metabolism. And that is where the secret to fat loss hides.
By exercising regularly with the right types of exercise, it's possible to begin to burn more fat and lose weight at a faster rate than the 8 to 10 calories per minute rate would lead you to expect.
It's more than just calories burned by exercise that matters. It's also building and toning muscle too, since muscle helps burn fat too. That's why weight lifters tend to possess higher metabolism and weight training helps to burn fat. That's even though the exercise itself wouldn't seem to be a very efficient fat burner. It's the muscle building that leads to fat loss.
That's why exercises like bike riding can lead to better fitness improvement than would seem possible. There is muscle building going on as well as just the direct calorie burning.
Exercise bike fitness is about more than just burning calories. Fat loss is more complex than just exercising to burn calories. Long-term the way to fitness is about increasing the rate of metabolism as well as just exercising to burn calories.

im no good at exercising at home i can only join the gym on a tuesday because thats when they have a creche?
is walking any good i dont mind doing that becasue i do that anyway. im not a get up in the morning do 100 situps type of person. ive had air walkers and weights and rowing machines and i dont use any of it, got rid of it all now. like i said i want to join the gym but not once a week its not worth it, is it. is there a way of calculating calories burnt to how far you have walked.
hi, steps are simple do exercise daily even some five minutes at-least you have to do it regularly when you have the enough experience you can can increase the types of exercises and the time of it but you should be 45 minutes ago without food and water to exercise and to stop eating food and sleeping after that coz this well make you fat and don’t drink water with food and eat till before satisfy that you feel you can eat more but you don’t do, waling fast, running, swimming picking, any desirable just do something regularly and you’ll be be better soon. the main problem is from your life system but not from the food, so you can eat whatever you like and good for health but while doing movement’s and exercise OK my dear
Exercise with no dieting?
About a month and a half ago I started a diet. I didn’t eat anything with a lot of calories, no sweets no junk. Around 1,000 calories a day pretty much just little exercise like walking or running for 10 minutes but nothing major. It was miserable barely eating anything. I lost 6.5 pounds in a month. I couldn’t take it anymore so I started eating normal again, the whole time conscience that if I kept eating like that I was going to gain it all back. I eat okay. Like a few pieces of homemade pizza with low fat cheese on wheat crust and turkey and cheese on wheat bread and a bit of junk every day but I’m so scared of gaining the weight back. I want to lose 5 more pounds very badly but I can not diet anymore. I was making myself miserable. But I love to exercise now that I’ve been doing it a lot. Like today I did tread mill for 15 minutes and an air walker machine thing that tones your upper leg muscles, I jogged for 25 minutes, I did 60 crunches, I did 45 push ups and I also did 100 jumping jacks.
So If I ate a fairly healthy lunch and dinner but a bit of junk could i still lose 5 pounds if i continue to exercise a lot or is it Crucial to diet also.
i only drink water if that matters. I’m also almost 18 I’m 5’8 and I weigh 146ish
Thanks Ary-Anna
I know your a stranger but it honestly means so much when people tell me I’m not fat.
Well, of course 1,000 calories a day is going to make you miserable! It’s not enough to get all of the nutrients your body needs.
What if, instead of making this about weight, you made this about your health? Rather than trying to avoid calories altogether, perhaps you should try omitting empty calories or strive to eat your five a day of fruits/veggies. Things like homemade pizza are fine, but you could add some spinach and tomato to get vitamin A and potassium. Spinach is great, because you can sneak it undetected into SO many different foods.
Turkey and cheese on wheat is also good, so maybe add some tomato, onion, and romaine lettuce, with an apple on the side?
Just add the healthy stuff, and eat it first so you have less room for the junk. So yes, it is crucial to watch your diet, but not in the way you’ve been trying You’re going to feel so much better when you’re getting all the nutrients you need. Your exercise will be much more effective, too, because you’re eating foods that will give you energy.
